Forgot to post this awhile ago. Jim and Becky headed up to the Como Zoo with Beth and we met them out there. The girls had such a good time and so did the dad's, as you can see!
All of Keith's health forms we're approved so now we are waiting to hear where we will be going. I can't wait! I hope we find out next week!
From Minnesota to Dominica to Miami to Atlanta to Des Moines to Wisconsin......

Cousins
Yesterday morning we met up with my sister and her husband's children at the Como Zoo! Above is Zoe, Alex, Billy, and Winona! The kids had so much fun seeing the animals and watching the Sparky show! I took some video but I haven't had time to post it!
Last night Alex, Keith, and I watched our friends child Megan and I took a couple pics of the girls doing some yoga moves! Then today we took Alex to the Leprechaun Days Parade in Rosemount! I have pictures from that too but I've been too busy to post any! So check back in the coming days when I have more time!

Free Carousel Rides at Como
This past Monday I met up with Sarah and Megan for a day of free carousel rides at Como Town. I must be getting old because I swear I thought I was going to be sick on that ride! Who gets sick and dizzy on a carousel! Anyways, Alex and Megan wanted to go again but thankfully they we're willing to check out the animals at the zoo first!
We went to the Polar Bear Odyssey exhibit to check out their program with the zookeepers. There was a question and answer session and both girls raised their hands to ask questions. Alex asked, "Do polar bears eat live fish"? I thought that was so cute! She was really interested in learning more about polar bears!
Check out the pictures I took from the day:

The Sunken Garden
Here's a pic of a beautiful stargazer lily I took at the Sunken Garden at the Conservatory in the Como Zoo when I was there a few days ago! This flower was one of the flowers I had in my bouquet when I got married so I had to take a picture of it. The Sunken Garden has seasonal flower shows (when I was last there in December/January there were lots of Poinsettas) and this time of year the flowers are so beautiful and colorful!

Cafesjian's Carousel and the Polar Bear Odyssey
Alex's cousin, Zoe, started summer vacation this week and doesn't have daycare so she is spending the week with us. Today was a rainy day but that didn't keep us inside. I found out that they had free Carousel Rides at Como Town and a new Polar Bear Exhibit at the Como Zoo so we decided to head out to St. Paul.
The Cafesjian's Carousel was built in 1914 by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company and was the 33rd carousel the company built. The Cafesjian's Carousel was built for the Minnesota State Fair, but then was put up for auction in 1988. At that time a non-profit group named Our Fair Carousel bought the carousel and restored it. Below is a video of Alex dancing to the organ music and watching the carousel go round and round:
After a few rides on the Carousel we decided to head inside to see the beautiful flowers in the Sunken Garden at the Conservatory and then off to the brand new Polar Bear exhibit.
The Polar Bear exhibit was so cool! The kids just LOVED it! There are two polar bears and one was swimming right in front of the glass. Alex just stared! Here's a video:

Some Recent Videos and Pictures
Here is a video of Alex and Kaylee at the Como Zoo. Here we are watching the Gorilla's. The gorilla's are so fun to watch when they aren't sleeping. At least they were a little active today.
Here are the girls looking at another little monkey that keeps coming up to the window to look out. Not sure if the monkey is able to see through the glass or if it is just looking at itself in the glass. The girls had so much fun.
