This past weekend Alex had a fun girl scouts activity put together by the
Dunwoody Nature Center. Alex and her friends had so much fun! One of her favorite parts was making smores in the sun.
I have never done this and it is such a cute idea. The only materials they needed were:
cup, rocks (to keep the cup from flying away in the wind), paper, aluminum foil, graham crackers, marshmallows, chocolate. The aluminum foil was placed over the paper and then folded like a funnel with the aluminum foil on in the inside of the funnel and taped at the bottom Then the girls placed a graham cracker, marshmallow, and chocolate on top and waited for the chocolate to melt. It really only took a few minutes before the chocolate was melted.
Here is Alex enjoying her yummy smore! I am going to try this again at another girl scout meeting since a few of the girls couldn't make it. It was a it with the kids!
