Minnesota Zoo

This past Tuesday Alex and I went to the Minnesota Zoo with Janet and her daughter Haylie.  We hadn't been there all summer so we were excited to go!  Alex's favorite animals were the Wolverines and Coyotes on the Minnesota Trail as they we're really the only animals we saw that day that were active and weren't sleeping.  The girls also spent a lot of time at the new playground by the Grizzly Bear exhibit.

Grizzly Bears

A few days ago I decided to take Alex to the Minnesota Zoo. We hadn't been there in a while and as we walked to the entrance of the zoo Alex tells me, "Hey, I remember this place". Luckily it was a nice day so after looking at the Shark exhibit we walked along the Northern Trail and through Russia's Grizzly Coast. The Grizzly Bears we're so fun to watch so I took a short video that you can see below.

Keith Is Back in Dominica

Keith left Saturday morning for St Maarten. He flew non stop on Sun Country Airlines from Minneapolis and had a nice flight. The hotel that I booked him when he got there, on the other hand, was not so nice! His room didn't even have a window and the room smelt musty. Conveniently located right next door was a strip club. Well, I guess it's a good thing his room didn't have a window. The next day he flew Liat to Dominica. Like I mentioned in an earlier post, we feel Liat is a poorly run airline. I have no idea why, but they decided to stop off at a few other islands to pick up more people. Those stops weren't on the schedule which is weird. I have never heard of that happening before with any other airline. Hey, at least the plane showed up! You never can be too sure with Liat.

Keith is happy to be back there and feels it's a little weird being there without us. Alex is now ready to go back to Dominica since Daddy is there (There are also a few Care Bears there that Alex really misses). I hope we can return soon. But we have our house to deal with. We had someone look at it on Saturday for the second time but we don't know what they are thinking yet or if they are still interested. We also had our house inspected by a rental home inspector on Monday. So after replacing a battery in a fire alarm and shoveling snow out the egress windows we should be good to go. I just need to get someone in there right away.

We thought we would try this new blog. It is a lot easier than doing it the other way, and we can do it from any computer. Now I don't have to use the I-mac all the time. We are also going to start adding our pictures on here. So if you want one you can order one online.

Today, we got up early and went over to Jim and Becky's place. They have a two year old, Beth. We all got in our van and headed up to the Zoo. Alex got to see her favorite animal, the Puma. It is usually never sleeping and always pacing. Then she got to see the dolphin show. After lunch we went through the tropics trail and then went home. Unfortunately the weather was bad so we didn't go see the animals outside. Alex and her friend, Beth, were pretty pooped out anyway. Alex slept almost all the way home.
