I haven't posted in a while, so I thought I would catch up. For Halloween, Alex was a friendly devil. Here she is:
We walked around a nearby neighborhood and Alex saw a few of her classmates while out trick-or-treating. She had so much fun!

Halloween 2011
This past Halloween Alex dressed as a "pretty kitty" and she went trick or treating in a fun Dunwoody neighborhood filled with decorated houses. The neighborhood is called Briars North and is not too far from where we live. Alex was scared at one point but had so much fun trick or treating with her friends and seeing some school friends along the way. I wish I had gotten more pictures of Alex in front of the houses but she was way too scared! Click below for pictures:

Trick or Treating
Last night we had so much fun going trick or treating from door to door. As we we're walking outside I realized that this was Alex's first experience going door to door trick or treating. The last two years we were in Dominica and it just wasn't the same although she still had fun. And the year before that she was just under a year old and we went to the mall. Alex had a lot of fun last night and is so proud of all the candy she got!

Happy Halloween from Dominica
We have celebrated our second Halloween in Dominica. They don't celebrate that holiday here, but at least the school and the Ross Spouses Organization put together activities for the kids. The kids love dressing up and getting candy! This year Alex was a Princess. It was easy and we got the costumes from someone who left the island last semester. Alex had two different dresses to wear, one for friday and one for saturday! She loved it!

Alex's Fun Halloween
Alex had a fun week of lots of candy and friends. She got a lot of use out of her Snow White Ballerina outfit. Last Sunday night she went to a Halloween party at someone's house. She got to search for candy around the house and eat it. They also had some games for the kids to play. Alex was too scared to hit the pinata with a baseball bat, but she had a lot of fun playing with her friends. Here are some pics from that party:
Then on Thursday the kids got to participate in a trick or treating parade around campus. They did it on Thursday because Friday was Creole Day for the Dominicans. The parade was at 1 o'clock and Alex was a little tired. Here are some pics from that event:
On Friday she wore her Creole Dress to school. I had been working on her to say "Bon Jour" to the Dominicans. She needed a little prodding to say it. She knows the word from a Fancy Nancy book she has. Then in the evening she went to a Halloween Party on campus. She had so much fun. She got to fish for candy and play a musical game with numbers. She played and played the games until she didn't even want the cupcakes or candy anymore when she would win. She didn't want to go home either. Here are some pics from that party:

| Halloween Parade and Party at Ross University in Dominica |
Keith has his next major exam on Tuesday. He has been studying a lot so we hope he does well. We'll let you know. He feels pretty confident about it. Monday is Dominica's Independence Day so everything will be closed. There are a lot of parties going on this weekend for the Dominicans. This is also the weekend of the World Creole Festival! This is a huge festival and people fly here from all over the world to see it. The national holiday on Monday means that everything will be closed. Keith told me to get money out of the machine after the Halloween party. I went to one, and it was out of money. Thankfully I found some at another machine. Apparantly it is common for the credit card machines to stop working so we needed to have cash. Today our internet didn't work and our water was turned off. Maybe this has to do with the holiday weekend, I'm not sure.

Trick or Treating with Alexandra
Alex started out the day sick. She went to the doctor and he has an ear infection in both ears and a soar throat. So now she is on antibiotics. I didn't think she would want to go out trick or treating but after a day of sleeping and resting with mommy and romeo alex was ready to get her candy. She met her friend, Beth, at the River Hills mall and went to all the stores trick or treating.. She had so much fun..

Alex carving a pumpkn
This weekend is MEA so Jecci doesn't have school. She went with another exchange student and her host family to Mount Rushmore. Today Keith, Alex, and I went to pick out another pumpkin to carve. Alex loved helping out. When we were finished we cooked the pumpkin seeds.
Keith is still working on the basement. He has a little more electrical work to do, and then the plumbing. He is also going to start applying to medical school next week on his week off.
