Christmas Weekend

On Saturday we stopped by Snell Motors to see Santa before heading up to Keith's mom's house for a short visit since Keith had to work on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. After visiting Keith's mom we went to see the Holidazzle Parade in downtown Minneapolis. It was cold, Alex was the only one bundled up. Luckily the parade only lasted a half hour... then we walked around Target on the Nicollet Mall to warm up before heading to my parents house.

On Sunday, we celebrated Christmas with my family at my sister's house in Farmington. My grandparents and aunt, uncle, and cousin came from Arizona. Zoe and Alex played a lot. Zoe was really excited about the Hanna Montana guitar she got from her mom. Jecci got a couple ornaments and lots of different gifts from everyone.

Christmas Eve Jecci and I went to see the Minneapolis Sculpture Gardens and then to 3:00 mass at St Mary's Basilica. Jecci has never been to a Christian Church and was very impressed with the Basilica and how beautiful it is. She was speechless about the service since she has never experienced anything like that before... Now she is anxious to visit Tibet when she gets back home to China. We then went to pick up Alex and go to Keith's mom's house for Christmas. Alex got a couple of baby dolls that she just loved and a talking book and other toys. Jecci got a necklace from Keith's mom and a gift card to a store at the mall. Alex had a fun time playing with her cousins, especially Abby and Kaylee.

That night we got back to my parents house late.. alex didn't get to bed until around 10:45.. The next day Jecci, Zoe, Missie, and I went to the movies.. We saw Alvin and the Chipmunks. Not my first choice, but that is what Zoe wanted to see. Jecci went and saw PS I love you. We celebrated Christmas night by having dinner with my parents and my sister and Jay... Alex was a bit crabby the whole day. Probably because she didn't get enough sleep.

Keith has another interview in Jan. with Ross University. A Medical School on the island of Dominica. We have yet to decide where we are going to go. He has also been contacted by a school on the island of Antigua. I wouldn't mind living there for a couple of years.
