Pine tree pollen

This is what is covering every surface right now.  It's pine tree pollen.  I have never seen anything like this in this in Minnesota.  Apparently this is common this time of year in Georgia and in other southern states.

Pine tree pollen??? Whaaat??? I've never heard of such a thing, but I guess it makes sense. I wonder if bees are involved with that...
